THE ARAB ECONOMIC UNITY COUNCIL THANKS THE ARAB CUSTOMS UNION

Al-Refae has visited Mr. Mohamed Al Rabee, Secretary-General of the Arab
Economic Unit at the Council's headquarters. Dr. Mamdouh presented to him a
study on the " reconstruction in Arab countries" in the framework of
the preparation by the arabic economic unity council for (reconstruction and
development in the Arabic countries and the Ambassador Mohammed Al Rabie
presented a letter of thanks to Dr. Mamdouh Rifai against the vital role that
the Union exerted in the data of the exporters, importers and logistics related
to the Arab Maritime Transport Sector that is considered as one of the most
important factors contributing to the preparation to the reconstruction in the Arabic
countries
In his meeting with Dr. Mamdouh Rifai, the ambassador praised major efforts of
the Arab customs union and stressed this indicates the high professional
competency by this union, which renders him as one important union that is
specializing and working in the economic unity council scope, under umbrella of
the Arabic league, in addition to the activation of the role exerted by the
mutual Arabic labour that are working to develop the intra-trade.
It is worth stating that the Arab Customs Union
is one of the unions specialized within the framework of the Council of
Economic Unity, which was established on 3/6/1964 and this is approved by the
Economic and Social Council of the League of Arab States. The Council of Arab
Economic Unity shall enjoy the privileges and freedoms provided by the League
of Arab States to its affiliated organizations. Accordingly, in accordance with
the provisions approved by the Council and its thirty-eighth session by its
resolution 820 / D 38 issued on 2/12/1981, authenticated by the Arab
parliaments and heads of Arab states. The specialized Arab unions have the
privilege and immunity provided for by in the unity council characteristics
