ARAB CUSTOMS: DIFFICULTIES AND CHALLENGES
Dealers with Arab Customs Ports face several
difficulties and challenges, which play an important role in soaring the
financial costs of economic transactions together with drain of time and effort.
Hence, chances of tax evasion increase – a matter that would eventually result
in decline in the revenues and proceeds of tax and resort to parallel economy –
a matter that would result in considerable financial loss coupled with the
gravity of such smuggled products with low quality on the Arab Consumer at the
end.
Such difficulties and customs complexities would remarkably result in high costs of imported products, which might represent the materials necessary for production process (i.e., raw materials). Hence, competitiveness among producers, manufacturers and exporters would be weakened – a matter that would push emigration investment out of Arab countries and widen the gap in terms of achieving economic integration.
Therefore, we aspire for genuine factual
efforts that would radically contribute to finding solutions for such
difficulties and complexities. By doing so, we could enable and activate the
genuine role for implementing the Common Free Arab Zone and integrated Arab
Common Market in preparation for the stage of the intended Arab economic
integration.
Until we meet again, I wish you a very
pleasant time
