The Arab Smart Customs Forum kicked off today at the Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel in Cairo, organized by the Arab Union of Customs Brokers in collaboration with the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States and the Egyptian Customs Authority.
The forum serves as a strategic platform aimed at exchanging information on best customs practices, exploring regulatory and operational challenges, and promoting innovation through the use of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the Internet of Things. It also seeks to improve the efficiency of customs clearance processes, reduce costs, and enhance Arab economic integration by fostering a digitally transformed customs environment.
The opening session was attended by several prominent figures, including:
