The Jordanian capital, Amman, witnessed the signing of a joint cooperation protocol between the Arab Union of Customs Brokers and the Arab Free Zones Union, in the presence of Dr. Mamdouh Al-Rifa’i, President of the Union, and Mr. Mahmoud Qatshiyat, Secretary-General of the Union.
The protocol aims to strengthen mutual cooperation between the two unions by contributing to the enhancement of free zones, expanding the scope of exemptions and facilities granted to investment operations, supporting the development process in the Arab world, advancing Arab joint work, and constructively contributing to attracting Arab investments.
Exchanging expertise and developing future plans and visions through organizing meetings, conferences, and seminars is a common factor between the two unions. Additionally, the protocol focuses on providing real support for intra-Arab trade movement within free zones and the necessity of unifying global standards and specifications in free zones to achieve Arab economic integration.
Attending the agreement signing from the Arab Union of Customs Brokers were Dr. Mamdouh Al-Rifa’i, President of the Union; Ms. Rana Al-Jamal, Director of the President’s Office; and General Assembly members Mr. Wasfi Shawqfeh and Mr. Taysir Al-Khudari. From the Arab Free Zones Union, Mr. Mahmoud Qatshiyat, Secretary-General of the Union, attended.
