The Chairman of the Board of Directors, the Secretary-General, and the staff of the Union shall enjoy the privileges and immunities as outlined in the Agreement on Privileges and Immunities of the Arab Economic Unity Council, in accordance with the rules and conditions set forth in this regard and as agreed upon with the concerned countries.
The minutes of meetings, decisions, and recommendations of the Board of Directors and the General Assembly shall be recorded in special registers. Each minute shall be signed by the President and the Secretary-General of the Union. All records, files, and documents related to the Union shall be kept at the Union’s headquarters.
The Secretary-General, or their appointed representative, shall represent the Union in meetings to which it is invited by the Arab Economic Unity Council or any other Arab organizations related to the Union’s activities in an observer capacity.
The Board of Directors of the Union may authorize the Secretary-General to invite Arab and international organizations and bodies to attend meetings of the Board of Directors or meetings addressing technical topics related to their areas of competence, as observers.
The Secretariat General of the League of Arab States and the Secretariat General of the Arab Economic Unity Council, in cooperation with the relevant specialized Arab organizations, shall invite an annual meeting to be attended by the Presidents of the Boards of Directors and the Secretaries-General of the specialized Arab unions. The goal of this meeting is to discuss plans and exchange views to support joint Arab efforts.
