Statutes - Union bodies

The statute - the bodies of the union - the bodies of the union are:

1 - General Assembly

2- Board of Directors

3- The General Secretariat

First - The General Assembly of the Federation:

Article Eleven:
The General Assembly consists of all active members participating in the Union. Associate members, observer members and experts may attend General Assembly meetings and participate in discussions without having the right to vote.

Second - The Federation’s Board of Directors:

Article Seventeen:

The Board of Directors consists of a number of members equal to one and a half times the number of countries to which the active members of the Union belong. Members who belong to each country elect a member for them in the Board of Directors of the Union. The General Assembly elects the complementary members according to the number of votes each of them obtains, and a member may be chosen. An alternate for each member of the Board of Directors according to the same method.
Elections for the first Board of Directors of the Union shall be held in accordance with the procedures determined by the Council of Arab Economic Unity, provided that the next Board of Directors shall be elected in accordance with the election regulations approved by the General Assembly.
Each country may not have more than two members on the Board of Directors.

Third, the General Secretariat of the Union:

Article Twenty-Seven:

The General Secretariat of the Union consists of a Secretary-General and a number of employees in accordance with the organizational structure of the Union, the draft of which is approved by the Board of Directors and approved by the General Assembly.
