Cairo, February 24, 2025 – The Arab Union of Customs Brokers held its General Assembly meeting to discuss the Union’s 2024 activity report, the work plan for 2025, and the latest developments and future plans related to the Union.
The meeting opened with a welcoming speech by Dr. Mamdouh Al-Rifai, President of the Arab Union of Customs Brokers, who greeted the members of the General Assembly as well as Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Meska, representative of the Secretary-General of the Arab Economic Unity Council.
During the meeting, board elections were held, resulting in the re-election of Dr. Mamdouh Al-Rifai as President of the Union for the next four years, along with the election of new board members.
The meeting concluded with a discussion of the Union’s work plan for the upcoming period, where a comprehensive vision was laid out for the strategic objectives the Union aims to achieve, focusing on enhancing Arab cooperation in the customs field and adopting the latest digital technologies.
The meeting reflected the Arab Union of Customs Brokers’ commitment to developing the Arab customs sector by strengthening joint cooperation, updating customs systems, and supporting members from various countries, reaffirming its dedication to keeping pace with global developments to achieve Arab economic integration.
