The First Meeting of the Joint Committee Between the Egyptian Customs Authority and the Arab Union of Customs Brokers Kicks Off
The joint committee between the Egyptian Customs Authority and the Arab Union of Customs Brokers held its first meeting today at the headquarters of the Customs Authority in the New Administrative Capital. The meeting was attended by senior customs officials, representatives of the Arab Union of Customs Brokers, and heads of customs brokers’ divisions and syndicates in Egypt.
The meeting was inaugurated by Mr. Ahmed Abou El Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for the Office of the Chairman of the Authority, who welcomed the attendees and emphasized the importance of strengthening joint cooperation. He expressed his confidence in the committee’s role in achieving its objectives to improve the customs work environment.
Mr. Samir Abou El Nasr, Secretary-General of the Arab Union of Customs Brokers, extended his gratitude to Mr. Ahmed Abou El Hassan and the leadership of the Egyptian Customs Authority for their efforts and continued support to address the challenges facing customs brokers and traders, aiming to facilitate customs procedures and reduce clearance time.
The committee aims to address issues facing stakeholders at customs ports and to develop joint plans for organizing activities and initiatives that enhance the performance and capabilities of customs brokers, recognizing their key role within the customs ecosystem.
