A delegation from the Arab Union of Customs Executives, headed by Dr. Mamdouh Al-Rifai, visited Beirut Port on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. During the visit, the delegation met with Mr. Maroun Abi Aad, the Director General, who provided a detailed explanation of the port’s operations and the way ships are handled. They also discussed several issues of mutual interest. Mr. Maroun Abi Aad confirmed that Beirut Port operates with an annual capacity exceeding 1.2 million containers.
