Official Meeting Between the Arab Union of Customs Brokers and the African Economic Council

The Ambassador Mohamed Abdel Ghafar, President of the African Economic Council and Chair of the Pan African Movement Commission, received Advisor Taha Qulaisi, Vice President of the Arab Union of Customs Brokers, at the Council’s headquarters in Cairo.

The meeting discussed several Arab and African economic issues affecting citizens on both continents, investment opportunities in Africa and the Arab world, challenges facing the trade and industry sectors, obstacles encountered by exporters and importers, and the role of customs clearance in accelerating the pace of Arab and African economies.

Advisor Taha Qulaisi praised the significant efforts and role of the African Economic Council under Ambassador Mohamed Abdel Ghafar’s leadership in defending Africa’s economic resources and contributing to supporting, enhancing, and developing investment in Africa.

Ambassador Mohamed Abdel Ghafar welcomed cooperation with the Arab Union of Customs Brokers, highlighting his familiarity with the Union’s goals, activities, and initiatives in the Arab world over the past period, particularly in engaging with officials, institutions, companies, and individuals in Arab countries to achieve economic integration.

The meeting was attended on behalf of the Arab Union of Customs Brokers by Advisor Taha Qulaisi, Vice President of the Union; Mr. Mohamed El Shazly, Media Officer; and Mr. Mohamed Yahya, General Assembly member. On behalf of the African Economic Council, Ambassador Mohamed Abdel Ghafar, President of the Council, was present.
