Official Meeting Between the Arab Union of Customs Brokers and the Egyptian Exports and Imports Authority

Major General Engineer “Ismail Gaber,” Chairman of the Egyptian General Authority for Export and Import Control, received Dr. Mamdouh Al-Rifai, President of the Arab Union of Customs Brokers, at the Authority’s headquarters in Cairo.

The meeting addressed several Arab economic issues of interest to the Arab citizen, introducing the Union, its goals, activities, and recent steps taken through communication with various entities, institutions, companies, and individuals across Arab countries.

Dr. Mamdouh Al-Rifai praised the national role played by the Egyptian Export and Import Control Authority in protecting national products and supporting customs to perform their duties efficiently. He expressed strong willingness to cooperate between the Union and the Egyptian Authority, considering it one of the oldest and most prestigious Arab and African institutions in this field.

Major General Engineer Ismail Gaber welcomed the cooperation with the Union concerning the categories and goods involved in trade exchange between Egypt and Arab countries (export and import).

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Mamdouh Al-Rifai honored Major General Engineer Ismail Gaber with honorary membership and the shield of the Arab Union of Customs Brokers.

Attendees from the Arab Union of Customs Brokers included Dr. Mamdouh Al-Rifai, President of the Union; Mr. Mohamed Hamada, Assistant Secretary-General; and Ms. Rana Al-Jamal, Director of the President’s Office.
From the Egyptian General Authority for Export and Import Control, Major General Engineer Ismail Gaber was present.
