As part of its action plan and efforts to enhance its role by participating in the meetings of specialized customs technical committees at the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States—aiming to facilitate customs procedures and overcome obstacles facing stakeholders dealing with customs in Arab countries, and to contribute to the establishment of an Arab Customs Union and the achievement of Arab economic integration—the Arab Union of Customs Clearance Professionals took part in the 37th meeting of the Committee on Customs Procedures and Information. The meeting was held from May 12 to 15, 2025, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo.
The meeting was organized under the supervision of the Department of Arab Economic Integration at the General Secretariat of the League, with the participation of member states represented by customs administrations and authorities from across the Arab world.
The meeting agenda included discussions on several key topics, such as: updating contact points responsible for customs-related matters, reviewing the qualified customs ports questionnaire updated by the Arab Union of Customs Clearance Professionals, the guide to advance rulings, and the First Arab Forum on Customs Affairs.
