Protocol of Cooperation between the Arab Union of Customs Clearance Agents and the Egyptian Customs

The Arab Union of Customs Clearance Agents, headed by Dr. Mamdouh Al-Rifai, President of the Union, signed a cooperation agreement with the Egyptian Customs represented by Mr. Hilal Tawfiq, First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, on behalf of Dr. Magdy Abdel Aziz, Head of the Egyptian Customs Authority. The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the first Arab Conference of Customs Clearance Agents held in Cairo, Egypt.

Key provisions of the agreement include:

  • Promoting customs awareness within the Arab community to protect the Arab economy,

  • Organizing joint training courses aimed at developing and training customs clearance agents,

  • Granting Union members priority and privileges in dealing with obstacles and challenges within customs departments and assisting in overcoming them within the framework of the relevant laws and regulations.
