Cooperation Protocol between the Arab Union of Customs Brokers and the Arab Consumers Union

Mr. Hamdi Al-Taba’a, President of the Arab Businessmen Union, received Dr. Mamdouh Al-Rifa’i, President of the Arab Union of Customs Brokers, in Amman, Jordan, to sign a joint cooperation protocol between the two parties.

The protocol aims to strengthen the mutual cooperation between the two unions, support the development process in the Arab world, advance Arab joint action, and contribute constructively to attracting Arab investments.

It also aims to consolidate cooperation through organizing meetings and conferences, exchanging expertise, and setting future plans and visions, which will facilitate market openings and ease trade exchange between Arab countries.

Notably, the agreement’s key provisions focus on expanding private sector and Arab businessmen’s activities, opening new horizons for Arab trade, and facilitating the connection between Arab countries through a land, sea, and air network. This network will build joint strategies in key fields, in addition to developing and activating the work of the Higher Coordination Committee for Arab Joint Action.

Attendees from the Arab Union of Customs Brokers included Dr. Mamdouh Al-Rifa’i, President of the Union; Ms. Rana Al-Jamal, Director of the President’s Office; and General Assembly members Mr. Wasfi Shawqfeh and Mr. Taysir Al-Khudari. From the Arab Businessmen Union, Mr. Hamdi Al-Taba’a, President of the Union; Mr. Thabet Al-Taher, Secretary-General; and Mr. Tarek Hegazy, Director-General of the Union, were present.
