“Conclusion of the 37th Meeting of the Customs Procedures and Information Committee at the Arab League.”

The 37th Meeting of the Committee on Customs Procedures and Information concluded today, organized by the General Secretariat of the Arab League (Department of Arab Economic Integration), held at the General Secretariat headquarters in Cairo from May 12 to 15, 2025.

The meeting witnessed the participation of the Arab Federation of Customs Brokers alongside representatives from Arab countries. This committee is one of the specialized committees concerned with unifying customs policies among the member states of the Arab League.

The agenda included discussion of several important topics, notably:

  • Reviewing contact points responsible for following up on customs issues among countries.

  • Discussing the survey on qualified customs ports, which was updated by the Arab Federation of Customs Brokers.

  • Reviewing the Customs Advance Rulings Guide.

  • Preparing for the First Arab Forum on Customs Affairs.

This meeting is part of efforts to enhance Arab cooperation and integration in the customs field and to facilitate trade exchange between member states.
