Arab Union of Customs Executives President congratulates the President of the General Union of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce
A delegation headed by Dr. Mamdouh Al-Rifai, President of the Arab
Union of Customs Brokers, visited Eng. Ibrahim Al-Arabi, President of the
General Union of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, at the headquarters of the
Cairo Chamber of Commerce, to discuss the steps of activating the cooperation
agreement signed between the Cairo Chamber of Commerce and the Arab Union of
Customs Executiveson July 16, 2019 within the framework of partnership,
communication and continuous interaction between the Arab Union of Customs Executives
and the business and trade community, bodies and institutions and all parties
and authorities associated with customs activities.
President Dr. Mamdouh Al-Rifai, , praised the role of the Cairo
Chamber of Commerce on the Arab cooperation revitalize Arab trade and the efforts
exerted in order to overcome difficulties and obstacles that hinder the growth
and prosperity of Arab trade exchange. In addition, His Excellency considers
the role played by the chamber in the interaction with the Egyptian economic
community and alleviate the burdens of Egyptian families through the
organization of exhibitions and events.
The President handed over a memorial shield to Engineer/ Ibrahim
Elaraby for his post as President of the General union of Egyptian Chambers of
Commerce, in appreciation of his great efforts to promote the Egyptian Chambers
of Commerce and the development of the Egyptian and Arab economy alike.
Eng. Ibrahim Al-Arabi, on the other hand , thanked Dr. Mamdouh
Al-Rifai for this shield, and praised the role of the customs executives in the
Arab world, and that they are an important part of the system of customs work,
and key partners, and are indispensable.
President of the General Union
of Chambers of Commerce handed over a memorial shield to Dr. Mamdouh Al-Rifai,
in recognition of his great role in the service of intra-Arab trade, and his
efforts made to find solutions to obstacles impeding Arab trade.
He added that the chamber has the desire and determination to
coordinate and cooperate with the Arab Union of Customs Executives through Arab
seminars, workshops and events that support the trade sector in Egypt and the
Arab world as a whole.
The meeting was attended by the Arab Union of Customs Brokers: Dr.
Mamdouh Al-Rifai, President of the Union and Ms. Rana El-Gammal, Director of
the President's Office, and Dr. Islam Karim, the president's Advisor.
